THIS TABLET AND THE TWO ADJOINING WINDOWS ARE ERECTED IN GRATEFUL RECOGNITION OF THE SERVICES OF ALL THE SAILORS AND SOLDIERS FROM THIS PARISH AND CONGREGATION WHO FOUGHT IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918 AND IN LOVING MEMORY OF THE FOLLOWING WHO MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE.

BY THE LONG ROAD THEY TROD WITH SO MUCH FAITH AND WITH SUCH DEVOTED AND SELF-SACRIFICING BRAVERY, WE HAVE AT VICTORY AND TODAY THEY HAVE THEIR REWARD.

Died of Wounds on Sunday 31st March 1918 while under German captivity.
