The Image below is from a picture postcard of the original Ellesmere Street Roll Of Honour that I acquired several years ago.
Of the one hundred and fifty nine men listed, seventeen have been killed. At the time of the construction of the main Eccles War Memorial in 1925, this particular Roll Of Honour together with several others was sealed in a lead casket that was placed under the foundation stone.
